What it is?
Containing the latest technology in stabilization and delivery, 0.5% retinol is encapsulated in a phospholipid layer for steady time release and is emulsified in a velvety cream. Touted as a miracle ingredient in modern skin care, Retinol is known for its ability to renew and refresh skin. Retinol is capable of acting intuitively to target individual imperfections. It can also improve the appearance of uneven tone and texture and diminish the look of expression lines and wrinkles.
This formula contains encapsulated Retinol, which is highly prized for its ability to improve skin's appearance dramatically. Each retinol molecule is wrapped in a protective layer of phospholipids that act as a delivery system to ensure maximum efficacy. The Retinol then converts to retinoic acid, which is a metabolite of vitamin A, for beautifully renewed skin.
Glycerin, a hydrophilic ingredient that draws water to the skin, works synergistically with squalane, an emollient derived from olives, to provide all-day hydration. In addition, this formula includes two lightweight oils, jojoba seed oil, and safflower seed oil. These ingredients work synergistically with ceramide-3 to provide multiple layers of moisture that stay locked in for long-lasting hydration.
Make NourishMax Retinol Cream the cornerstone of your nightly wrinkle-fighting routine. A favorite of dermatologists for its proven age-defying benefits, this powerhouse ingredient works to transform the appearance of skin's texture and tone.
With an optimized delivery of Retinol, it supports cellular turnover and lessens the look of fine lines and wrinkles over time. Its encapsulated delivery system ensures maximum results. Revitalize, rejuvenate and rediscover the look of radiant, youthful-looking skin.
Why it's special?
Vitamin A is an oil-soluble vitamin that is not naturally produced by the body. It can be found in many plants and proteins and is an essential element to maintain a healthy immune system, vision, and organ function. There are many different molecular forms of vitamin A, 4 of which are mainly used in cosmeceuticals and are listed below by increasing degree of strength:
‣ Retinyl Esters (Retinyl Palmitate & Retinyl Acetate)
‣ Retinoic Acid (Tretinoin) Each form of vitamin A undergoes a different process to fully convert the ingredient to retinoic acid. Once the ingredient has been fully converted to retinoic acid, it works with the skin's natural exfoliation process to ensure an ageless look and feel.
What is in it?
Vitamin A (Retinol and Retinyl Palmitate)
Retinol and Retinyl Palmitate are retinoid derivatives of vitamin A. They convert into retinoic acid to brighten and smooth the appearance of aging skin.
Jojoba Seed Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil)
Derived from a perennial shrub native to the southwestern US and parts of Mexico, jojoba seed oil is rich in fatty acids and acts as a lightweight emollient.
Derived from olives, squalane works to deeply moisturize skin. It has a similar composition to the skin's own sebum, which makes it an excellent hydrator.
Safflower Seed Oil (Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil)
Safflower is one of humanity's oldest crops and has been cultivated for centuries throughout a multitude of cultures for its oil. Safflower seed oil is used in skincare products for its emollient and moisturizing qualities.
Glycerin is a plant-derived humectant that works by balancing moisture levels, helping skin feel smoother and softer. It draws water to itself from the environment, ensuring hydrated skin.
Hydrolyzed Coconut Oil (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride)
Hydrolyzed coconut oil is an emollient, meaning it conditions and moisturizes the outer layer of the skin. Derived from coconuts, these ingredients go through a process to ensure maximum efficacy and stability.
Ceramides are lipid molecules that are found in high concentrations within cell membranes. They are naturally found in the skin and play an important role in the protective layer that holds in moisture.
